Installation-Only Kitchen Services
Professional installation of your Ikea, Home Depot, or supplier-sourced kitchen cabinets and finishes.
What is Installation-Only Service?
Installation-only (also called labor-only) service means you source your own kitchen cabinets, countertops, and finishes, and we handle the installation. This approach can save money if you've found good deals on materials or prefer to shop big box stores like Ikea, Home Depot, or Lowes.
When Installation-Only Makes Sense
Installation-only service works well when you:
- Want to save money by sourcing materials yourself
- Have already purchased cabinets or countertops
- Prefer specific brands or suppliers (Ikea, Home Depot, local cabinet shops)
- Are comfortable coordinating delivery and returns if needed
What We Install
Ikea Kitchens
Ikea cabinets are a popular choice for budget-conscious homeowners. We install Ikea kitchen cabinets including:
- Base and wall cabinet assembly and installation
- Ikea-specific hardware and mounting systems
- Doors, drawers, and soft-close hardware
- Pantry towers and specialty cabinets
Note: Ikea cabinets come flat-packed and require assembly. Installation-only pricing includes assembly labor.
Home Depot / Lowes Cabinets
Big box stores offer stock and semi-custom cabinets at competitive prices. We install:
- Pre-assembled or RTA (ready-to-assemble) cabinets
- Crown molding and trim
- Hardware installation
Countertops
- Quartz (templating and install if sourced through fabricator)
- Laminate (pre-fab or custom)
- Butcher block
Note: If you're sourcing quartz or granite countertops, the fabricator typically handles templating and installation. We coordinate with them to ensure cabinets are ready for templating.
Backsplash Tile
- Subway tile, mosaic, or custom patterns
- Full-wall or partial backsplash
- Tile prep, installation, and grouting
Flooring
- Luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
- Laminate
- Tile (porcelain or ceramic)
What Else is Included
Beyond installing your cabinets and finishes, we handle:
- Demo: Removing old cabinets, countertops, and flooring
- Electrical: Installing outlets, lighting, and appliance hookups
- Plumbing: Installing sink, faucet, and dishwasher connections
- Trim and finishing: Crown molding, baseboards, painting touch-ups

Pros and Cons of Installation-Only
Pros
- Cost savings: Big box cabinets can be less expensive than contractor-sourced options
- Control: You choose exactly which products and brands you want
- Transparency: You see exactly what you're paying for materials vs. labor
Cons
- Coordination: You handle ordering, delivery, and returns
- Risk: If materials are wrong or delayed, it delays the project
- No warranty on materials: We warranty our installation, but you deal with manufacturers for material issues
- Assembly labor: Flat-pack cabinets (like Ikea) require assembly time, which adds labor cost
Full-Service vs. Installation-Only
With full-service kitchen renovation, we handle everything — design, ordering cabinets and countertops, coordinating delivery, installation, and warranty. You make design decisions, we handle the rest.
With installation-only, you save money but take on the coordination work. Learn more about full-service kitchen renovation costs.
Common Ikea Kitchen Issues
Ikea kitchens are well-designed, but common issues include:
- Assembly time: Flat-pack cabinets take longer to assemble than pre-built
- Filler pieces: Ikea cabinets come in fixed sizes — you need fillers for gaps
- Toe kick adjustment: Ikea legs require careful leveling on uneven floors
- Appliance fit: Ensure Ikea cabinet dimensions match your appliances
We're experienced with Ikea kitchen installs and handle these challenges routinely.
